Archaeology and Ancient Studies Writing Group

Are you a postgraduate student or researcher who is struggling to find the time and motivation to write? If so, you might like to join our archaeology and ancient studies writing group.

Group sessions are conducted on the last Saturday of each month from 9:30am until 4:30pm, with a relaxed, drop-in format.

When in-person gatherings are permitted, the group is hosted in the CCANESA Boardroom on Camperdown Campus. However, during lockdowns the group is conducted online, via Zoom.

There is no set methodology for the writing group. We follow a loose structure of quiet writing and friendly chats throughout the day.

When in-person meetings are possible, tea and coffee making facilities will be at hand, as is a stash of motivational chocolate. Please bring a pack lunch to sustain yourselves. Alternatively there is King st nearby if you wish to go out for lunch.

Access to Madsen is via the side entrance door, and people are let in when they arrive.

If you would like to join the writing group, please send an email to yvonne.inall@sydney.edu.au to join the mailing list and get further instruction for access to the space/Zoom link for the day.
