*Please note change of time (now 3:30pm, Friday 10 March)*

Discover the drama and beauty of total solar eclipses, the science and their fascinating history at this dedicated book launch.

Witnessing a total solar eclipse is a wondrous and unforgettable experience!

Eclipse Chasers is a guide to past and future Australian total solar eclipses, exploring historical and cultural knowledge, as well as featuring five upcoming eclipses that will be visible in Australia. The book explores the great significance of solar eclipses for First Nations peoples, and their observations and cultural meanings.

To be launched by Professor Tara Murphy, Head of the School of Physics, the book will be discussed by author Toner Stevenson, together with contributors Melissa Hulbert and Geoffrey Wyatt. The other author Nick Lomb will join online, possibly with the remaining contributors. Our MC will be Professor Keith Dobney, Head of School of Humanities.

You can purchase your copy of the book prior or after the launch at the Chau Chak Wing Museum shop and there will be author signing and light refreshments available in the Sounds Café within the Museum.
