Contributions of Archaeology in Museum Exhibits, Curation, and Experience: Examples from Litekyan (Ritidian) of Guam
The diverse findings of archaeology can create unique challenges for museum exhibits, curation, and rare cases of preserved sites as living museums. Considering these issues, archaeology research in Guam has been integrated with public outreach and education, accessible data storage, and site tours and experience. A particularly successful program has been sustained at the site of Ritidian or Litekyan, and the results may encourage new ways of thinking about the contributions of archaeology in museum and heritage venues.
